Happy Father’s Day to all y’all boarding fathers out there! Whether you ripstistick, snowboard, hang glide, skate or not, as fathers we ride the 3 wheeled board of being there (presence), caring (empathy), and/or participating (where they allow) (engagement) —> i.e. the board of fatherhood.
Many of you i suspect may be relatively new to the fatherhood game, and hopefully a few like me are grandpapas.
KNOW THIS: What you do is important and meaningful, tho mostly unseen and often under appreciated. It’s like sewing a seed, but not knowing what you’re going to harvest from season to season. But the plant has a much better chance of expressing It’s life force, it’s essence and it’s energy by virtue of being nurtured for by the gardener.
Being a “father” goes beyond just being a biological parent. Kudos to all you do, do, do, do… and have done, done, done!
