OG Ce is just an old guy who rides a ripstick/caster board, in space and thru time. OG Ce is also a now retired former vice president, grandpa, geek (MBA). He embodies the styles I drip in and the vibes I grind to when rippin it; instead of the duds I’d wear to work as a technology vice president for major financial services firms. My alter-ego, as it were.
I started riding over a decade ago, in my mid 50s. Because of my age i focused on the roll, instead of tricks. I realized that by controlling the roll (pressure and depth) transforms the experience. It changed from pushing off and shimmying uncontrollably, to creating and riding a continuous wave.
During this time OG Ce also discovered “The Art of Falling”. This enabled me to harness the momentum that comes with falling, to emerge from the fall better than when I began to fall. This powerful lesson also applicable to life in general.
My mission is to share the unique AWESOMENESS (e.g. flow, moving meditation, artistry, beauty) of caster boarding (i.e ripsticking), when it is ridden OG Ce Style™. The ride is the beautiful thing; OG Ce is merely the lucky old man spinning back and forth, falling this way then that thru space on a board shaped like infinity.
Finally, OG Ce also has a love for Porsche 911’s.
Having ridden and driven them both for over a decade, I can say with certainty that they have something in common. I will soon be sharing this passion also, and why I think 911s and ripsticks have something in common, in upcoming posts.
